The limited edition did not disappoint. It’s a Dominican puro, but like so many cigars from the Dominican Republic these days, the Oktoberfest has little in common with what many of us think of as the light, toasty, typical smoke from that country.
The flavors are dark, rich, and full. Strength is medium to full, though

The q d’etat line has a simple straight forward message: fight for your rights. Consequently the cigar is intended to have very Straightforward, distinctive flavors. In the case of the molotov, the shape offers the added bonus of seeing how the blend tastes in 3 distinct wrapper/binder filler ratios, as the cigar’s ring gauge starts at 44, goes up to 58, and back down to 38
This is a great after dinner cigar. The dark flavors of coffee and leather compliment a meal wonderfully.

Patrick Lagreid reviews the Quesada Q d’etat ‘Molotov‘ Cigar from Quesada Cigars and SAG Imports. There will only be 1,000 boxes made. Each box contains 10 cigars and a sign up form for Cigar Rights of America. They will be released at the end of January 2012. This will be the first in a series of 3 limited cigars in the Q d’etat series.
